I honestly thought I would have Book 11 done by last Thanksgiving. I am working on the final integration of the book now, and I thought I should record why it is so far behind schedule.
1. As usual, there has been some interference from real life. The whole single dad, three kids, cats, church, and work interference.
2. Book 11 is abnormally long and complex. The plot is complex. The theme of making plans and having them not work out is a complex theme to convey. And the book is long. It will probably end up being the longest or second longest of the 12, because so much has to happen in it.
3. Book 11 is in some ways a retrospective. A lot of characters, events, and places from previous books are revisited. Every time I revisit one of those things, I have to go back to the original use of that person, place, or thing to make sure its consistent. And, oh, by the way, some of the earlier books have had to be retconned.
Anyway, with luck, the new book, new site, and new Kindle-ready copies of all 11 books will be done by Valentine's Day (Knock on wood).

As you advised, i wore stretchy pants while devouring book 1 to 10 - can't wait for book 11 and i admire your courage and creativity writing all these books. I am fond of Keeler and I find him hilarious :) Thanks for the the good time and escapism opportunities you have have blessed my evenings with. Another thing, to support online authors such as yourself, is there anyhow i may contribute to acknowledge your talent and your cat's? Wishing you an excellent day.
