Chapters 9 and 10 wedging into place

It took a lot of work, and a lot of cutting, but chapters 9 and 10 are finally integrated, and that winds up part one of Book 11. I really had to cut, shape, and rework those chapters even though not a lot happens in them. Part One ends with a single line from David Alkema that drives Part Two and is so out-of-left field it requires a lot of build-up to be credible. So, chapters 3 - 9 have to build up the credibility of that line. Otherwise, the reader is like, "WTF, No way!"

On a TV series, these would be the low budget episodes they make when they run out of money after blowing on effects-heavy sweeps episodes. They don't advance the plot much, or at least they don't appear to, but they keep the novel paced, and they introduce or more fully develop four of the new characters (Averill Lear, Adris Kingfisher, Reena Decker, and Helena-903) at least one of whom is really critical to the plot of Book 11 and Book 12.

And the rest? Well, by the end of Book 11, there's a mystery. A mystery needs suspects. These four women are prime suspects.

Also, lots of romance happening on that rocketship. Bill Keeler, David Alkema, Kyle Atlantic, and maybe even Trajan Lear have some kind of romantic action going on.

Speaking of Romance on a rocketship...
