Unintentional Themes of Book 09

As I reread and edit the finished chapters, I am struck by a totally unintended theme that's emerging. Both Bill Keeler and Trajan Lear... separately and in their own way... confess to loneliness and a longing for intimacy. I hadn't even realized I was exploring that idea in the book, it just sort of emerged out of each character responding to his situation.

Also, it's an interesting dual-perspective. Keeler is an older man, remorseful over what he has lost. Trajan Lear is a younger man, fearful over what he thinks he will never have.

I better get away from this human condition crap, or I might be mistaken for a serious writer.

I can't wait to get my eyes on book 09... I found your site a few months ago and just blew through all of the first 8 thinking all the books were done and I would be able to read the whole series. Now I am so anxious for the next books to come out.
